On behalf of Thomond Primary School learning community, it is my pleasure to
welcome you to our website, which will give you a window into life at TPS.
Thomond Primary School was established here in Ballynanty in September 2015 as
an amalgamation of St. Munchin’s GNS, St. Munchin’s CBS and St. Lelia’s Infant
School.
At the centre of every great school is its outstanding staff and Thomond Primary
School is no exception. Our faculty are trained in instructional best practices and
demonstrate a huge commitment to the education and well being of all our students.
We strive to provide a very high standard of education within a happy, caring
environment.  We believe that a broad, balanced, educational experience will allow
our pupils to reach their full potential. Our other school partners – an active Parents’
Association, a dedicated Board of Management and supportive Patron – all strive to
provide the very best educational experience for our pupils.
We are a vibrant school community, which fosters inclusiveness, spirituality,
individuality, difference and the development of all our talents. We pride ourselves on
the atmosphere of mutual respect and an expectation of the highest standards of
behaviour, of work ethic and of personal achievement. We strive to allow each
student become the very best that they wish to be, while empowering them to meet
the challenges of education and of life.

2019 – 2020 promises to be an exciting year as the school community continues to
work together to consolidate the great achievements happening at the school.
Through thoughtful strategic planning we will strive to take TPS to an aspiring new
level of educational quality and performance.
